future enhanced rev-upgrade

Hi,

Clemens said something about an enhanced rev-upgrade that would be part of MacPorts 2.5 .

Apologies if this has already been considered, but I think it could be useful if `port rev-upgrade` detected more than just issues with binaries and missing files. In particular, I'd like to see a way for ports to register that they depend on specific files (or directories) from a given dependency.

I don't think that currently situations are detected by rev-upgrade when a dependency port provides required files in a directory with a different name or stops providing a given required file.
