<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">dear all, <div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">a while ago I submitted a PR to consolidate the different versions of “msgpack” into one port (<a href="https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/5986" class="">https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/5986</a>). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Currently, we provide version 0.5.9 as “msgpack” and version 1.4.2 as “msgpack1”. The PR would change it such that “msgpack” tracks the latest upstream release (currently v3.2.1), adds “msgpack2” that provides the latest release in the 2.x series, keep “msgpack1” unchanged, and adds “msgpack0” as the last release in the 0.x series. There haven’t been many responses in that PR - are there any concerns with this approach? (Of note, I have already updated the dependencies of ports that currently depend on “msgpack” to “msgpack0”). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks,</div><div class="">Renee</div></body></html>
