<div dir="ltr"><div>Just want to add my 2 cents to say that it's always sad when helpful people are driven away from hobby projects due to these sorts of things. </div><div>I really like this project and have continuously been using it for over a decade. I have contributed on occasion to macports (although very very very rarely to base) and I know very little about the voodoo that goes into keeping older systems alive. I have been following this controversy without having much to say until now.</div><div><br></div><div>I have, more than once, been on the verge of rage-quitting other projects because of bullshit such as Gagan pulled on this issue.</div><div><br></div><div>Ken: If you do read this, thank you for anything and everything that you might have done to make my life easier, whether I realized it or not., and good luck in whatever you decide to do next.</div><div><br></div><div>Gagan: I read through most (but not all) of the PR discussion and can confidently say the following:</div><div><br></div><div>I don't think you mean ill, and you probably don't even realize it, but it seems to me like you're very much in the wrong here.</div><div>Ken came off as paternalistic or perhaps a little condescending in some of his replies, but he was nothing but civil until YOU began to act restless and entitled. And even then, I'm not sure I saw any kind of insult in Ken's replies other than perhaps some sarcasm.</div><div><br></div><div>Take it or (most likely) leave it, but I'm saying this as somebody who spends a good portion of his $DAYJOB talking to patients with all sorts of mental health issues: You could really do with working on your management of frustration. What failings I may have had are life’s foibles.
