Ooh, that's ineresting. I just tried to install TenFourFox
on intel 10.6 and it complained that it's only for ppc.
I'll have another look.

officially, TenFourFox was only PPC and it needed 10.4 to build.
I maintained for a while a fork of it with Ken that did run on Intel
32bit and it did build also on 10.5 actually and that was my preferred
build method, until I stopped working on it. I never got JIT working
again on Intel either and upstream stopped regular updates.

About at the same time I started working on ArcticFox which now should
be about as capable as TenFourFox but faster. It compiles which recent
gcc and clang.
However, it is 10.6 and up only (best on 10.7 and 10.9). Help there is
also appreciated, since 10.6 maintenance is hard, since I am in the
domain of importing patches where Firefox removed support.

10.5 is not working nor Intel nor PPC, even if I attempted to make a
hybrid. If somebody is really interested and wants to help and hack, I
can collaborate and share patches, it could be promising. The idea to
get it working would be x86-64, then i386 then PPC (in order of
hardness...). I can get it to compile on 10.5 64bit, but it does crash
on startup.
