 some further results, for you to compare to the ones above:

 gcc7 test suite on Intel/x86_64 (Sierra):  about `250` unexpected failures
 out of `260,000` tests (log attached).

 gcc6 test suite on PPC/10.5:                    about `260` unexpected
 failures in `250,000` tests (log attached).
