 Just out of curiosity, have we tried this?

 -DCMAKE_BUILD_WITH_INSTALL_RPATH:BOOL=OFF
 }}}

 We force this to ON in MacPorts in the cmake PG, but there are times (like
 running tests) where I have to force it off to make things work properly.
 It's suppose to set the paths to the in-tree libs until the software is
 actually installed.
