 Please show us exactly what command you ran and exactly what error message
 occurred. As Ken said, MacPorts 2.6.2 should work fine on Tiger; that's
 why we continue to offer MacPorts installers for Tiger.

 Installing an older version of MacPorts should automatically upgrade to
 the latest version of MacPorts, so that should not have made a difference.
