 I believe the choice of Java 12 was arbitrary to ensure a recent Java is
 installed; OpenCV 3.4 appears to still have support for older versions, so
 I propose lowering it to 1.6+ (or to no higher than 1.8+). I would prefer
 an LTS Java version be specified as the fallback so that the fallback
 doesn't have to be adjusted as often.
