 I tried to install the generic form :

 sudo port install py-emcee

 it worked (seemingly)
 but still not available inside python :

 coag>python
 Python 3.8.2 (default, Feb 27 2020, 19:54:34)
 [Clang 9.0.0 (clang-900.0.39.2)] on darwin
 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
 >>> import emcee
 Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
 ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'emcee'
