 the cherrytree/cmake debug variant did not disable default optimizations,
 so I went looking to see why not, and looks like that is explained here:

 Although I’m not sure that’s what I’d default it to, but that was the
 call… possibly should be reconsidered. So clearing the optflags in the
 portfiles manually seems the only way, without getting into more
 portgroups.

 Re: building with the {{{port -k}}} option and running it using lldb… well
 that is second week of CS101 I guess, but often the only effective method
 to get the needed info I find.
