 As for what is installed, what I quoted above is accurate:

 ld64-274 @274.2_0+llvm37+universal (active)

 Looks like identical to what you have. (Since this is 10.8, not 10.6,
 universal cannot include ppc, so i386+x86_64.)

 I am away from that machine until tomorrow, but I recall initially I had
 outdated Apple tools, which was found out in some ticket, upon which I
 have updated those to the version I was referred to. I doubt they were
 updated since then, but I will check the version once I back.
