 Unfortunately I don't see an explanation when I compare our logs.

 Maybe there have been other changes in MacPorts that caused a momentary
 problem back in September when you first tried which have been resolved
 since then. Could you try `sudo port clean gstreamer1-gst-plugins-bad` and
 `sudo port sync` and then try building it again? Let's see if the same
 error about `half::_toFloat` occurs then.
