 It was this bit I was thinking might be useful:

 "with Go 1.17, could you try building your binary with environment
 variable GOEXPERIMENT=noregabi"

 eg:
 {{{
 configure.env-append GOEXPERIMENT=noregabi
 build.env-append GOEXPERIMENT=noregabi
 }}}

 what it exactly does, at the moment I don't know. But it was mentioned as
 the fix for a similar issue.
