Comment:

 I finally found the solution. This is nothing to do with MacPorts.

 One should do either
 {{{source /opt/local/libexec/root6/bin/thisroot.sh}}}
 or
 {{{cmake -DROOT_DIR=/opt/local/libexec/root6/share/root/cmake}}}
