 Excellent. That did not do the trick, but
 {{{
 sudo port upgrade -n --force nettle
 }}}
 did. `hogweed` is back and `gnutls` is repaired.

 Unfortunately I have no idea how that library could have been deleted.
 Thank you for the guidance on repairs.
