 My current point of knowledge: The error shows up after updating Xcode 14
 to 15 on macOS 13 (Ventura) and sure enough macOS 14 (Sonoma) is equally
 hit. I tried a series of things to fix this, but did not manage it. At the
 moment, I see no other way than to limit the port to macOS < 13 and wait
 until upstream comes up with a solution. #64035 is slightly different but
 definitely related.
