 If the install failed to set the PATH .

 why did it fail ?

 You can't close defects unless they are verified. It is unprofessional,
 and lazy.

 I'm a retired software engineer. I didn't tolerate this behavior from my
 employees.

 If you are too lazy to do proper follow up, you should find another
 career.
