 Correct, and you can specify an other Python version by selecting a
 variant; so, for example, {{{sudo port install pymol-devel +python38}}} if
 you would like to use it with Python 3.8 instead. However, only currently
 supported Python versions (i.e., Python 3.8+) can be used, so if the
 plugin you want to use requires Python 2.7 then you're out of luck. Of
 course, you could try to add that Python version and see if it builds with
 that, but I kind of doubt that and we will not support the use of EOL
 Python versions.
