 Due to the upstream issue with the Octave package homepages, and their
 overall transition to GitHub, I'm making changes in the octave 1.0 PG.

 As I was fixing the homepages (@ 3AM) I noticed a new version of
 {{{octave-doc}}} was available.

 I updated locally and then copied the checksums to the standard Portfile
 (in master), which still uses the old octave PG.

 I'm not at my home machine at the moment to compare Portfiles, but I
 suspect you correctly diagnosed the issue.
