 including re-installing all ports. But I seem to remember that the
 notification appeared when installing the new Macports version, rather
 than when re-installing the ports. But I can't verify this now.

 It could well be that upgrading base triggered a new notification for
 existing LaunchDaemons because the daemondo binary was changed.
