The currentt version in macports is 1.3 for mplayer.  For a couple years now there is a 1.4 version available. from the developers.<br>

A couple of times I have asked the mmaintainer about the possibility of getting the current version with no response.<br>

What is possible for getting the latest version in macports?<br>
