I think it's an excellent GSoC project given that it's a bit tedious,  
requires some thought on how to traverse the dependency list and get  
the "target locations" for each of them in order to permute the  
current port builds' resource search paths, and a certain amount of  
coding to put it all together, but it's most definitely not rocket  
science.
