The Gobo Compile bootstrapping scripts "work" on Mac OS X (pretty  
much in the same way that Gentoo Portage "works"), just that they are  
GNU/Linux-centric in the same way that MacPorts is BSD/Darwin- 
centric. But Gobo is somewhat interesting, since it uses a more "Mac"  
layout than even Mac OS X does (mostly a traditional UNIX layout for  
lowlevel BSD stuff). No frameworks, though, "only" headers/libraries.
