Don't forget to list everything you change in your commit messages.
For example here you also made whitespace changes. Ideally you would
commit whitespace changes in a separate commit from other changes, so
that it's easier to ignore the whitespace changes when looking
through the revisions and more clearly see the changes that actually
matter.
