Committing new port submissions (was: Re: Let's avoid using md5 as checksum)

Yes, that was my intention :-)

That's often the problem... Sometimes I see a new open ticket in Port 
Submission and if I am personally interested in this software I might 
commit it right away after testing. But on other submissions if I have 
no time I just mark the mail as read and forget about it...

I would suggest, if nobody comments or takes action on your port 
submission after a few days, just ping the macports-dev list.
