ncurses patch 12605

Dear All,

the patch for ncurses
(an offer to unify ncurses and ncursesw back into one port,
to be more like the mac os x itself is setup and the ideal world,
also fixing potential bugs when curses libs may be not found)
seems to be forgotten for more than a quarter of a year,
the initial reaction of Ryan did not result in a yes or no verdict,
the maintainer/owner did not say a word.

Please, direct some attention to the problem.
