Sure, but it doesn't integrate with MacPorts and installs outside the
registry. So it will rather screw up your existing installation.

Yes, as far as I know, it was planned to integrate dp-light into each of
the packages in order to register it properly with the registry. But
that never happened because it required to include nearly the whole base.
