Okay, so it is different from the default Ruby and seems to be a
separate project. Make a ruby-mac port or something like that. See,
someone with experience with this project has to create a port.

Sure. Who wants to provide and maintain Portfiles for them? E.g. a
request for a calendarserver port is lying around for a long time in the
tickets database already.

And what should we do about it? If someone recommends against using
MacPorts he might have reasons. And we would need to know his reasons in
order to improve MacPorts.
