Ooh, I overlooked that feature. That's kinda nice. Too bad it  
requires sudo... (IMHO it shouldn't, just like lint and livecheck  
don't.)

Why don't we keep the nice ping feature for now, since it hasn't even  
seen the light of day and closer/faster downloads has been requested  
more than once.
