There's a bunch of reasons to use hit which I won't get into from my  
iPhone :)

My Ubuntu box that I commit from is running Dapper Drake, is colocated  
and doing fine without an upgrade.  I don't commit from work since I  
don't want my MacPorts password sitting on disk there.
