Note that quotes in the long description won't actually show up in "port info" unless you escape them with a backslash.

As you already discovered, livecheck.check was replaced by livecheck.type, so you should not change it back. Be sure you run "svn diff" before every commit to make sure what you're committing makes sense, and run "port lint" too to make sure there aren't any errors.
