Fetching and compiling two sources in a single Portfile

If these are distributed as separate packages it might be for a reason.
 A quick check in other distributions shows they all have this separated.

Why? Would there be any advantage over creating two ports?

A solution would be to create mlt-c and mlt-cxx and let mlt depend on both.
