selfupdate and readline support

Hello,

The readline support for MacPorts is disabled by default and has to be
enabled using --enable-readline. The release disk images we release are
built with support for that. But on running selfupdate, there is no
--enable-readline in the default configure flags, no matter if the
currently installed version supports readline or not. So everyone
updating using selfupdate will have port without readline support.

What was the reason again to make readline not the default? Is this also
the same reason why it is not enabled in selfupdate?
