-d and ui_msg

If you look up on the past email a little, I did this:
> ASSP installs to var
> $ls -la /opt/local/var/
> total 0
> drwxr-xr-x   3 root  admin  102 Apr  3 01:34 db
> drwxr-xr-x  11 root  admin  374 Jun  2 19:59 macports
> drwxr-xr-x   3 root  admin  102 Apr  3 01:34 run

So not only does assp.cfg not exist, the entire parent directory is  
not there either.  I do not understand direct versus image mode, I  
will look to the docs and see what I can get.
