building in parallel

Go ahead if it's nomaintainer or openmaintainer, otherwise ask the
maintainer's permission (not necessarily via a ticket). However, be
aware that problems with parallel build are race conditions by their
very nature, and thus don't show up on every configuration or even in
every run on affected configurations.
