Deprecating port list

bash-3.2# port installed
The following ports are currently installed:
   apache2 @2.2.11_0+darwin_9 (active)

bash-3.2# port -q installed
The following ports are currently installed:
   apache2 @2.2.11_0+darwin_9 (active)

I would like a means to print non-formated output without messages  
like "The following ports are currently installed:".

I think "list" or "show" are pretty natural and common commands  
followed by what you want to see.

port list p5-*
port show active
port show new
