MacPorts 1.9 and portindex generation

I switched from "port sync" to "svn up" in MacPorts 1.8 because of some bug with "port sync" at least on my system. I think it related to my working copy not being owned by root. I don't remember the specifics. It seems to work again in 1.9 now.
