The homepage says that MacPorts targets "mainly the current Mac OS X
release (10.6, A.K.A Snow Leopard) and the immediately previous one
(10.5, A.K.A. Leopard)". The download page refers to Tiger as a legacy
platform.
Of course, the actual level of support for any given port on any given
OS is whatever the maintainer is willing and able to provide.
