Which workflow for updates to the Guide is preferred by MacPorts leading developers? (DO YOU WANT TO REVIEW my changes FIRST?)

I.e. shall I create my own user branch of the Guide at MacPorts' server,
make my changes only in that private branch
and eventually point you to my changes for review
before I'm merging everything in,
or is it fine if I simply work with the original and commit as I like?
