The config log has this at the top: created by PSL configure 20080915, which was generated by GNU Autoconf 2.68.  Invocation command line was

  $ /opt/local/var/macports/build/_Users_marbre_ports_math_reduce-algebra/reduce-algebra/work/trunk/psl/configure --prefix=/opt/local --with-psl --with-build=x86_64-mac_10.7_lion-darwin11.2.0

I would have to trace this.
