I reported this to their mailing list in February; there was no reply.

Of course we do. http://distfiles.macports.org/ . Unfortunately sshkeychain does not fetch a tarball; it fetches directly from the project's subversion repository which is inaccessible along with the rest of their web site.

I use the port so of course I don't want it deleted.

The project still exists at SourceForge. I will fix the port to update its homepage and to fetch from there.
