icon-theme.cache and Apps Using GTK

Again, I don't think it's any business of MacPorts base to know the details about gtk or about any other specific port. It sounds like something that should be in individual ports. If there's common code you find yourself adding to many ports, then that's a good time to consider factoring it out into a portgroup.
