Fwd: package installation fails with Homebrew

Now; that hasn`t helped:
root:/Applications> ln -s Utilities/Xcode.app/ .
Ports simply seems to refuse any work as soon as you have installed a different
gcc like homebrew in the root path (xcode-select -switch /).

Yes; in deed it is. This is not a developer`s machine and we don`t really
wanna have it in /Applications, directly.

However I haven`t really found anything like an xcode-select path to give
the path for Xcode.app or the Console tools in macports.conf.
