You can check the output of 'port -d build gimp2', jumping to "--->
Configure" and "--->  Building" you should be able to follow the
Macports'  building path.
You can either check what dependencies are passed to the configure
script or examine the output of 'port deps gimp2'.
Consider asking the maintainer of gimp2 port since he is most likely
accustomed to gimp2 building.
