AFAIK, XCode updates weren't delivered through Software Update.

I think maybe you've got XCode 3.2 from Aug 2009.  (That's an 
antique!)  If you sign up for a Developer id, all versions of XCode 
are available in the downloads:

https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action

Search for "XCode 3.2".  I know XCode 3.2.6, April 21, 2011, will 
work.  It is a 4 GB download, though.  A screen shot of the About box 
from my version is attached.
