Exactly. I am indeed missing the final /KDE4 in the path. 

The version provided in the ticket https://trac.macports.org/ticket/36552 is also missing consideration for the case of a non-root installation, as said in the ticket. I had inspired from the dbus port, but without taking the non_root parts which have to be added.
