perl5 portgroup and perl 5.16

because it only sets a default perl5.branches for backward compatibility?

The portgroup comment says:

# perl5.branches exists here for backward compatibility with old p5 portfiles.
# You should still set it in the portfile.

each of your ports that use the perl5 portgroup should set perl5.branches itself...
