I can only underline this encouragement. Please test out Marius' work
done in the Google Summer of Code program this year.

With these branches lying around unmerged from previous editions of the
Summer of Code just waiting for the bitrot, we changed our policy this
year. All the work produced in the program should be merged back to
trunk at the end of the summer. This year it worked out quite fine. We
now have a testing infrastructure which is meant to catch regressions
when introducing changes to the port system.

Marius, thanks for applying for MacPorts and all the work you have done
on the testing infrastructure! I hope you will stick around to continue
contributing to MacPorts :-)
