If I had to guess, the specific problem in #45483 was from libgcc (libstdc++, specifically), but gcc49 builds were technically incorrect as well.

I fixed gcc48 in r127093 and gcc5 in r127094. Older versions will need it if/when they're fixed for Yosemite.
