It would be pretty large because we're adding an autoconf-based build system on
top of upstream's sources. I don't think a patch file is the appropriate method
here.

Ideally, we'd just have a git subtree or git submodule, which would preserve
both upstream's history and the history of our modifications to it, but that's
not going to happen for now.
